We carve art out of wood using chainsaws, and we're very good at it!



After attending School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, MA for two and a-half years, Stacy Poitras started searching for a creative outlet that had less artistic attitude and more action and found chainsaw carving. Twenty five years later, he's still at it.

 

Chainsaw artist Stacy Poitras creates lifelike art with a chainsaw. These sculptures are both beautiful and functional. Creating such lifelike art with a chainsaw borders on the magical. To Stacy Poitras, it is a job skill he's polished over two decades.
